Beitar Jerusalem finally won in Sakhnin after 9 long years of frustration in the Arab-Israeli town. Omer Atzili is proving to be a superstar scoring a brace and adding a brilliant assist on Dovev Gabbay’s gorgeous header. The win launches Beitar up to 5th place on the table as the league heads into the international break.
Hapoel Beer Sheva 5:2 Maccabi Petach Tikva
After drawing 0:0 at home against Maccabi Haifa at the brand new Toto-Turner a couple of weeks ago, Beer Sheva and Petach Tikva made up for the lack of goals with a 7-goal match between two contenders. Beer Sheva ended up on the right side of the a 5:2 score in front of over 15K fans as Tony Nwakaeme and Eliyaniv Barda’s braces paced the home team. Mahran Radi added a goal also with Muhamed Calibat and Dor Hugi scoring for Ran Ben Shimon’s visiting side. Eight yellow car were handed out by referee Roie Reinstreiber however no one was sent off with a red.
Bnei Yehuda 1:2 Maccabi Netanya
Hamza Barry’s 90th minute goal proved to be the winner for Netanya as the Diamond Team picked up their first win of the season at Bloomfield Stadium. Amir Agaev opened the scoring for Bnei Yehuda in the 14th minute but Yossi Abuksis’s team couldn’t hold onto the lead in front of 4K fans as Gael Marguleis drew Netanya even in the 62nd minute before the last gasp winner by Barry.
Hapoel Raanana 0:2 Maccabi Haifa
The Greens finally scored their first goals of the season and also won its first match of the year defeating Haim Silvas’s Raanana at the Netanya Stadium. Eliran Atar scored a penalty in the 76th minute when Thiam Mamadou handled the ball in his win box and gave Haifa a chance to break their over 500 minute scoreless streak. Hen Ezra finished off the match for the visitors with an 89th minute goal in a match that featured 11 yellow cards issued by referee Menashe Mashiach.
Hapoel Haifa 1:4 Kiryat Shemona
The visiting Kiryat Shemona offense was on fire away from home at Sammy Ofer Stadium as Eden Shamir’s brace gave Salach Hasarma his second win of the season. Ahmed Abed and Ofir Mizrachi scored for K8 as well while Mahran Lala answered for the home side.
Hapoel Kfar Saba 1:1 Hapoel Tel Aviv
Interim coach Walid Badir guided his Red side to a draw away at Kfar Saba in front of close to 5K fans. Kfar Saba ended their 3-game losing streak as Hugo Lopes scored for the Greens while striker Dudu Biton opened the match’s scoring in the 35th minute.
