Israel Ligat Winner Matchday Five September 26-28, 2015

Hapoel Tel Aviv 3:1 Bnei Yehuda

A nightmare of a match for Bnei Yehuda’s keeper Dele Aiyenugba as the veteran made numerous errors while giving 3 goals in the loss to their Tel Aviv rivals Hapoel in a mini derby. Liviu Antal scored first as Claudiu Bumba made it 2:0 later on in the second half. Aviv Hadad cut the lead to 2:1 in the 90th minute but Bumba’s second goal of the night out the stamp on a 3:1 dominant victory under interim head coach Walid Badir.

Hapoel Akko 1:0 Hapoel Beer Sheva

Akko stunned southern side Beer Sheva in Akko 1:0 Saturday night on a goal by Samuel “Happy” Gilmore in the 14th minute of the match. Barak Bachar wasn’t able to get any offensive output from his team that traveled on Friday to Haifa and then on to Akko prior to the game.

Maccabi Petach Tikva 0:1 Bnei Sakhnin

Ran Ben Shimon and his Petach Tikva side fell to Sakhnin at home on a Shlomi Azoulay 67th minute goal. The loss drops MPT to 4:1 after starting the year with four straight victories.

Kiryat Shemona 0:0 Hapoel Raanana

A disappointing draw for home side Kiryat Shemona leaves last year’s second place finisher with only six points in five matches. On the other side, Haim Sikvas and his Raanana team were more than happy to pick up the point at a tough away venue in Nothern Israel as they have now collected 8 points.

Maccabi Netanya 1:2 Hapoel Haifa

Mahran Lala in the 9th minute and Hanan Maman in the 75th scored for the visitors as Hapoel Haifa defeated Netanya 2:1. Gael Margulies cut the lead in the 80th minute but it was too little too late for the home side.
