The Yellow & Blue finally broke their scoring drought and did it in style as Icelander Vidar Kjartansson picked up a brace with the second goal coming right before the final whistle to give Maccabi a valuable three points. Kiryat Shemona scored in the 5th minute thanks to Izekiel Nadusal, but Kjartansson drew Maccabi even before the break and win the match in the 93rd minute to escape one of Israel’s toughest pitches with the win.
Hapoel Beer Sheva 5:1 Hapoel Haifa
Haifa may have had thoughts of stopping the Beer Sheva train but a third minute goal by young stud Michael Ohana was just the first of five markers to find the back of the coastal city side’s goal. Hanan Maman drew his team even in the 29th minute but a 44th minute penalty by Ben Sahar set the stage for second half goals by Tony Nwakaeme, Mahran Radi and Muhamed Ghadir to win 5:1.
Maccabi Haifa 2:0 Hapoel Kfar Saba
Eliran Atar and San Menachem scored four minutes apart in the first half as the Greens moved into a second place tie with Maccabi Petach Tikva.
Beitar Jerusalem 1-1 Hapoel Tel Aviv
Omri Altman scored a first half penalty while Itay Shechter equalized later on in the half as the sides each took home one point. Beitar coach Ran Ben Shimon is still in trouble as he needed to make a 20th minute substitute to change formation and tactics waling off Lidor Cohen in favor of defensive midfielder Claudemir Perreira.

Maccabi Petach Tikva 1:1 Hapoel Ashkelon
Ageless Pedro Galvan opened the scoring for Ashkelon in the 14th minute while Mihai Roman drew the hosts who were playing at Levita Stadium even 11 minutes later to split the points.
Hapoel Raanana 1:0 Bnei Yehuda
Dor Hugi’s 57th minute goal gave Raanana and coach Haim Silvas the win and three points as they moved into 6th place on the Ligat Ha’Al table with 12 points.
