Maccabi Tel Aviv 77-76 Galil Gilboa

Maccabi Tel Aviv secured their unconvincing revenge against Gilboa with a 77-76 victory. Having lost the last league game against Gilboa/Galil, Maccabi came out motivated. Sonny Weems had 20 points while adding 7 boards as Victor Rudd dropped 16 points for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Yehezkel Skverer scored 16 points and Eric Griffin added 14 points for Gilboa who put in a great effort against the Yellow & Blue in a close contest all the way through. In fact just lie last week, Jason Siggers had a chance to win the game on a last second shot, but this time around the ball didn’t find its way home as Maccabi escaped with the win. When asked if the team have been giving 110% effort in practice, Sonny Weems answered: “I’d be lying if I said we were.”

Hapoel Tel Aviv 74-78 Hapoel Jerusalem

Hapoel Jerusalem was victorious in the match of the round, 78-74 against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Curtis Jerrells finished with 18 points, while Ama’re Stoudamire scored 17 points for Jerusalem. Alando Tucker had 23 points, while Adrian Banks added 18 points in the loss at home.

Bnei Herzliya 65-63 Maccabi Rehovot

Maccabi Rehovot gave a good account of themselves against Israeli Premier League side Bnei Herzliya, ultimately losing 65-63. Karam Mashour had 21 points, while Jeff Adrien had 13 points for the Herzliya. Marquis Addison had 24 points, while Ivan Yates had 16 points for the losing Rehovot.

Hapoel Ness Ziona 76-66 Hapoel Nahriya

Hapoel Ness Ziona beat Hapoel Nahariya 76-66 in intriguing lower division match. Lee Roberts had 22 points, while David Amit had 14 points for Hapoel Ness Ziona. Stewart Douglas had 12 points, while Derwin Kitchen scored 11 points in the losing effort for Hapoel Nahariya.

Hapoel Beer Sheva 104-96 Rishon Le’Zion

Hapoel Beer Sheva upset Rishon Lezion 104-96. Jeff Allen scored 29 points and secured 7 rebounds to go along with Anthony Fisher’s 22 points and 8 assists while Dudu Shmariz added 19 points for Hapoel Beer Sheva. Nimrod Levy finished with 20 points in the losing effort for Reshon Le’Zion.

Maccabi Haifa 91-54 Elizur Kiryat Ata

Maccabi Haifa convincingly beat Kiryat Ata 91-54. Orlando Valdez had 27 points for Haifa, who spread their scoring throughout the team. Dominic Pintor scored 17 points for Kiryat Ata, who were blown out by top league side Maccabi Haifa by 37 points.

Hapoel Holon 91-70 Hapoel Eilat

Hapoel Holon beat fellow first division side Hapoel Eilat, 91-70. Khalif Wyatt led the scoring for Holon with a strong 29 points against his former side, while Shlomi Harush finished with 14 points. Reggie Vector had 14 points while Rafi Manko scored 12 for the losing Eilat.
