Maccabi Tel Aviv climbed to top of the league, briefly, with a 89-74 win over Ironi Nes Ziona. Arinze Onuaka impressed for the Yellows with 17 points and 8 rebounds while Fuwuan Edwin netted 21 points for the visitors.
Hapoel Eilat under new coach Oded Katash took a huge 104-75 win over Maccabi Kiryat Gat with five players netting more than 15 points for the team from the south. They were led by Israeli Amit Simhon who scored 20 points.
Bnei Herzeliya defeated Ironi Nahariya 88-72 to pick up their third win of the season. Stephen Dennis led the home side with 19 and 7 rebounds to pick up a shock win over Nahariay.
Finally, Maccabi Ashdod beat Hapoel Tel Aviv 91-86, Isaiah Swann netted a massive 30 points for the home side. Talor Battle and Chris Evans both impressed for Hapoel picking up over 25 points each but the rest of their team just didn’t contribute enough.
The other two matches of round six, Maccabi Haifa against Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Holon versus Maccabi Rishon LeZion will be played in December.
