Maccabi Tel Aviv 83-59 Nes Ziona
Tel Aviv went on and early run and never looked back going up 19 points in the first quarter as Sylvan Landesburg had 19 points for the Yellow-and-Blue. Nes Ziona went 2/21 from beyond the arc and had only 59 points on the night. Yuval Naimi scored 15 points and dished out 9 assists in the loss for Nes Ziona.
Hapoel Eilat 79-78 Maccabi Rishon Le’zion
Afik Nissim and Eilat shocked Rishon in a thriller. Nissim scored 20 points while teammate Alade Aminu scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Mark Lyons led Rishon with 22 points.
Maccabi Haifa 81-67 Hapoel Holon
It was all about team play in Haifa’s victory over Holon. 5 players on Haifa had double digit points. Maccabi Haifa also only turned the ball over 9 time during the game. Will Clyburn was the only player on Holon to score in double digits with 27 points and 9 rebounds.
Hapoel Jerusalem 95-64 Maccabi Ashdod
EJ Rowland and Hapoel Jerusalem dominated the game from the very first moment in their victory over Ashdod. Rowland shot 9/11 scoring 20 points. Lior Eliyahu chipped in scoring 12 points while dishing out 8 assists. Jerusalem shot really well from inside the arc shooting an impressive 78% and as a team they also dished out 30 assists. Isaiah Swann led all scorers with 25 points for Ashdod in the loss.
Bnei Herzliya 101-80 Hapoel Tel Aviv
Aviram Zelekovits drew MVP honors in the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv scoring 28 points on 10/12 shooting from the field and Drew Crawford helped out by chipping in with 17 points of his own. The game was never close, but Herzliya sealed the contest in the 3rd quarter going up 20 points. Robert Rothbart led Tel Aviv in the loss scoring 19 points while grabbing 11 rebounds.
Ironi Nahariya 90-87 Maccabi Kiryat Gat
Gilbert Brown led Nahariya to a close victory over Kiryat Gat. Brown scored 21 points on the night to go with Niv Berkowitz’s 14 points and 10 assists. Paul Delaney almost had a quadruple-double with a line of 22 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals for Kiryat Gat.
