Maccabi Ashdod 66-72 Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi Tel Aviv struggled for three quarters but the Yellow & Blue found a way to pull out the victory as Guy Pnini and DJ Seely each had 13 points. Sonny Weems pulled down 7 rebounds but had a rough night from the field scoring 5 points on 2/7 shooting in 25 minutes of play. Jake Cohen was the main man for Ashdod scoring 16 points while Ed Daniel came close to a double double with a 9 rebound, 11 point evening.
Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion 75-73 Hapoel Gilboa/Galil
Gilboa/Galil continued their tough play against Basketball Super League opponents just coming up short at Rishon Le’Zion. In fact the visitors had been leading late in the contest couldn’t get the late calls as Ezequiel Skverer(21pts) missed a last ditch effort to win the game at the hands of Elishay Kadir (15pts). Eric Griffin finished with 14pts and 13rbs for a double-double as Jason Siggers dropped 16pts in a losing effort. Charles Thomas 15pts and Javon McCrea scored 14pts for the comeback win.
Maccabi Haifa 96-75 Nahariya
Haifa ran out to a 27-11 lead after the opening ten minutes and never looked back as the Greens got balanced scoring as six players finished in double digits with Oz Blayzer leading the way with 19pts and 9 rebounds. Alex Peretz finished the game with a double-double scoring 14 points and dishing out 11 assists while Tony Mitchell and Amit Simhon each dropped 14 points in the victory. Jonathan Skjoldebrand led Nahariya with 16 points in the loss.
Hapoel Holon 99-76 Hapoel Jerusalem
Holon dominated visiting Jerusalem in all parameters of the game along with shooting 65% from three point land good for 39 points while hitting 22 free throws. James Bell scored 28 points and Khalif Wyatt 25 points for the hosts while Tarence Kinsey led the Reds with 17 points.
Hapoel Tel Aviv 84-77 Bnei Herzliya
Alando Tucker scored 18 points while a Darrell Williams double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds led the way for Tel Aviv. Karam Mashour again starred for Bnei Herzliya with 18 points and 11 rebounds but just wasn’t enough to take down the Reds.
Hapoel Eilat 82-66 Maccabi Kiryat Gat
Kiryat Gat had kept the game close for three quarters, trailing the hosts by only three points going into the final frame but a 23-10 run by Oded Katash’s team gave Eilat an easy win. Landon Milbourne scored 18 points while Reginald Buckner dropped 15 points in the victory. Kiryat Gat shot only 6/25 from beyond the arc with Curtis Kelly scoring a team high 15 points.
