Gilboa/Galil 86-80 Hapoel Jerusalem
Gilboa/Galil and Hapoel Jerusalem played out a great matchup on a night where Jerusalem needed a little more quality to beat Gilboa at home. Murphy Holloway scored 19 points on 7-13 shooting, while Jason Siggers had 18 points from the bench for Gilboa. Amare Stoudamire scored 20 points on 8-11 shooting, while Curtis Jerrells scored 19 points for Hapoel Jerusalem. Commenting after the game Jerrells said: “We should have made one or two more plays, but credit to them they made the plays. We have to make plays and close the game.” Amar’e Stoudemire added: “The game was a hard fought game, we battled and played great down the stretch, but lost. This is playoff basketball at this point. We don’t have home court advantage, but we have to go on the road and focus and play.”


Bnei Herzliya 94-88 Maccabi Tel Aviv
A hustling Bnei Herzliya without Karam Mashour upset Maccabi Tel Aviv in what was a close encounter for a season sweep of the Yellow & Blue. Jeff Adrien exploded for 27 points on 9/11 shooting, while Taurean Green scored 20 points for Bnei Herzliya. Victor Rudd scored 23 points on 9/13 from the field, while Joe Alexander scored 15 of his own. Commenting after the game Alexander said: “It’s not fundamentals it’s Zhistle. It’s all about effort.” Head Coach Ainars Bagatskis added: “I like that players take responsibility, anyway it seems that basketball starts with the simple things, the one vs one match ups, but it’s easy to say after the game.”


Hapoel Holon 100-102 Hapoel Tel Aviv
Hapoel Tel Aviv narrowly beat Hapoel Holon in a great matchup. Richard Howell had 21 points on 8-17 shooting, while Raviv Limonad scored 20 points for Hapoel Tel Aviv. James Bell scored 21 points with 12 rebounds, while Shlomi Harush scored 19 points for Holon, whom missed an opportunity to move into sole possession of first place with Maccabi Tel Aviv losing.


Maccabi Eilat 90-69 Maccabi Ashdod
Maccabi Eilat dismantled Maccabi Ashdod to continue their great form. Afik Nissim scored a huge 23 points from the bench with five 3’s, while Reginald Buckner scored 19 points on 6-6 shooting for Eilat. Chase Simon scored 20 points with three 3’s, while Iftach Ziv had 15 points on a night where he struggled with 3-9 shooting for Ashdod.


Maccabi Kiryat Gat 83-84 Ironi Nahariya
Ironi Nahariya just beat Kiryat Gat in a back and forth encounter. Yancy Gates scored 15 points on 50% shooting prior to him being suspended, while Igor Nesterenko had 15 of his own for Nahariya. Josh Selby had a he 23 points on 7-12 shooting, while Justin Carter finished with 24 points making 11 free throws out of 14 for the losing Kiryat Gat.

Maccabi Haifa 88-71 Rishon Le’Zion
Maccabi Haifa comfortably beat Rishon Lezion by 17 points. Oz Blayzer went 9-13 on shooting for 23 points, while William Graves hit four 3’s for 20 points of his own for Maccabi Haifa. Avi Ben Chimol scored 14 points on 7-7 shooting, while Idan Zalmanson also scored 14 points for Rishon Le’Zion.
