Inter Aliyah suffered only their 3rd league defeat of the season on Wednesday, ending the first half of the Liga Bet season.

Opponents Hapoel Givataym, who sit in 8th place, surprised Inter with their smart basketball play and were ahead for the majority of the game. In the first half, Inter’s free-throw shooting was off the mark and with Givatayim converting theirs, the hosts found themselves down early on. Yet, the defensive rebounding helped Inter get back into the game as they found their offensive groove.

Sam Roche, making his debut for the club, led the team inn scoring with 15 points, while the likes of Yakir Naftali, Namer Medina and Nyv Segev also hit double figures during the close match.

With the loss, Inter’s record fell to 7-4 which is an impressive feat for being a fifth year team.
