Without a doubt the biggest game of Inter’s season thus far, saw the club tip-off against league leaders Ordea Ramat Gan at home in the penultimate game of the year, having lost to them earlier on in the season. An Inter defeat would hand Ramat Gan the Liga Bet title and secure their promotion to Liga Alef so there was hardly a lack of motivation ahead of the game. Inter entered the contest with an 8-0 record since the mid-season break and were keen to take revenge on the defeat at their hands back in December.
The first two quarters were cagey as both teams tried to figure each other out and after a few lead changes and Inter went into the half-time break with a slender lead of just 2 points. The third quarter followed suit and as the game entered the final frame Inter took a 5 point advantage. Yet, a monster final quarter, arguably the finest of the entire season, saw Inter annihilate the league leaders and end the game with a monstrous double-digit victory.
The deadly trio of Sam Roche (26 points), Jake Pemberton (24) and Ryan Clamage (20) caused the most damage to the Ramat Gan defense, while Yona Kadosh, Nadav Kristal-Tenenbaum and OBB also got on the scoresheet.
The win moved Inter to a 15-4 record ahead of next week’s final game of the season. Defeat for Ramat Gan, coupled with an Inter win over Hapoel Givatayim will move the first year team into 1st place and promotion to Liga Alef.
