Hapoel Holon downed Hapoel Galil Elyon 88-68 to advance to the semifinals after sweeping the quarterfinal series 3-0. The Galilee squad came out strong as Bryce Washington did the damage for Barak Peleg’s team to take a double digit lead midway through the second quarter but Tyrus McGee hit a trio of triples over the course of the final two minutes of the half to cut the advantage to 40-37. The second half was all Guy Goodes’s crew as McGee kept pouring in the points while Joe Ragland and Michale Kyser added superb buckets as well to take the 20-point win.

Washington led the way for Galil Elyon with 23 points, Chavaughn Lewis added 13 points and Ike Irogebu chipped in with 9 points in the loss.

“I am happy that we won and at the end of the second quarter we got back into the game,” Guy Goodes said. “The combination of the two bigs helped us and this was a big win with a lot of character. McGee is a scorer and he had three 3-pointers in a minute and a half that brought us back into the game.”
