“We arrived home and it was good to be back as we prepared quickly for this game,” Hapoel Tel Aviv coach Danny Franco began. “I did as much as I could to keep the game close and what would be a basketball score because there have been a number of games that have been embarrassing so far. We were able to split up the minutes and we didn’t suffer any injuries. We understand the situation that Galil Elyon is in and we made sure to keep that in mind during this game.”

“We are not in great shape and the situation we are in in life right now is just not normal,” Galil Elyon coach Barak Peleg said. “We came to give it our all and we are really exhausted. The league hasn’t helped us much with expenses to stay and play in the center so we returned up north where it has been difficult to practice and play due to the war. It is impossible to sign an import player in this situation. We have been moving from one place to the next and it’s been very difficult.”

Gil Beni reflected on the win, “We were very happy to get back and play at home after so many games that we have played in Europe without any fans. We should have killed this game much earlier, but it’s not easy to play against a team that is a very clear underdog. There are no easy games.”
