“We were composed when Valencia went up by double digits,” Hapoel Tel Aviv Head Coach Dimitrios Itoudis said. “But we trusted the process and we came back. We made certain adjustments and made about 80% of our shots from two, we had to change the game. It’s not easy to do that, to make those changes with a big crowd supporting the other team and I salute the players for doing just that.”

The game MVP Antonio Blakeney reflected on the win, “It was a great win and we really played well. The guys believed in me, it was a great win and a tough series, we had injuries and we had to come back to win this series. As for the finals, Gran Canaria is a great team as all Spanish teams are and it will be a tough matchup for us so we have to get ready.”

I came into this game on one leg due to the knee injury that I was playing with and I wasn’t sure how I would feel but I had a ton of treatment done beforehand to prepare me for the game. Both Blakeney and Foster were great and made such huge baskets for us. It was spectacular to see how they played.”

Tomer Ginat shared his thoughts, “Valencia is a great team and when we tried to pull away they just kept coming back. But when you want to get to the finals you will do everything in your power to win the game.”
