Hapoel Tel Aviv cruised past Hapoel Beer Sheva 85-67 as five players scored in double-digits to help the Reds advance to the Winner Cup semifinals that will take place next Saturday night following a Euroleague Double Week against Red Star and Real Madrid.

Tai Odiase scored on the inside while Khadeen Carrington also found his points for Hapoel Tel Aviv as Lovell Cabbil, Christian Coleman and Ido Fleisher responded for Hapoel Beer Sheva, but Ish Wainright drained a pair form deep late in the first half to give the Reds a 42-29 advantage at halftime. Tyreek Smith and Noam Avivi came alive in the third quarter, Odiase and Carrington continued to score while Eugene German, Max Heidegger and Guy Palatin closed out the victory.

Odiase scored 15 points, Carrington added 14 points while Heidegger, Palatin and Wainwright all scored 10 points in the win. Cabbill scored 16 points and Smith scored 14 points in the loss.

Hapoel Tel Aviv Head Coach Dimitrios Itoudis looked back at the victory, “The support means a lot and we are playing for the fans. We appreciate them as they sing the names of the players and without them we would have issues. We created points from turnovers in this game and we rebounded the ball well. I liked the aggressiveness here and Tai Odiase, Guy Palatin and Bar Timor sacrificed themselves and they had some create togetherness and that is unbeaten.”

Hapoel Beer Sheva Head Coach Doug Spradley also shared his thoughts on the game, “We had a number of players out and if you are not full strength it makes things more difficult. Plus in order to compete, you can’t make mistakes as we did in this game.”

Khadeen Carrington spoke about the win, “We locked in on defense and we got stops which converted to easy baskets. I am finding my place here after being somewhere else for 4 year so I still trying to find it but I am part of the team and I am trying to do the best I can for them.”
