Dennis Schroder’s 29 points and 7 assists coupled with Robin Benzing’s 17 points led the way as Germany defeated Ukraine 75-63 to open up the Israel Eurobasket Group in Tel Aviv. Though the Germans couldn’t hit the back of a barn in the 1st quarter shooting a miserable 2/15 they turned it around in the 2nd frame thanks to a red hot Dennis Schroder who scored 13 of his 18 first half points in quarter number two. Germany continued playing string ball throughout the second half as they came away with a 12 point victory.
