Tomer Ginat will return to Hapoel Tel Aviv next season after scoring 14ppg while adding 7.1rpg this past season for the Reds.
J’Covan Brown will remain with Hapoel Jerusalem for another season plus an additional year option. The guard was a spark plug for the squad scoring 10.4ppg and adding 4.6apg in Israel League action while he dropped 8.9ppg and dished out 4.2 apg in Champions League play. Brown told the official Jerusalem website, “It’s great to be back and we have a great group here. We have a lot of work to do and goals to accomplish.”
Israeli Yovel Zoosman recorded a DNP in the Cleveland Cavaliers first NBA Summer League game as they fell to the San Antonio Spurs 97-89. Zoos will get another crack to get onto the court later today against Utah.
Israel Baseball beat Serbia 11-1 in 8 innings in its second game at the European Championship B Pool in Bulgaria. Israel is now 2-0 and plays Bulgaria tomorrow! Congrats!!!
The Israel Softball Women’s team fell to Italy 7-0 as their Olympic dream came to an end. They’ll still play on to determine their European ranking and have a chance to play for 9th place which they begin on Wednesday against Russia. Last European Championship, Israel finished in 21st of 23 teams.
