Hapoel Gilboa Galil survived a late Hapoel Jerusalem run to take a 78-72 win up in the Galilee. The hosts controlled the game from the outset with strong inside play by Sacha Killeya-Jones and superb outside shooting by Michael Brisker who tied a career high with seven 3-pointers. but when London Perrantes and Derek Cooke fouled out in the fourth quarter the capital city Reds led by Jalen Adams and Suleiman Braimoh ripped off an 18-0 run to tie the game at 65-65. However, triples by Killeya-Jones and Brisker put Guy Kaplan’s team back in front for good as they notched the win.

Killeya-Jones led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds, Brisker added 21 points while Perrantes chipped in with 10 points. Adams and Braimoh each scored 16 points and Obasohan added 12 points in the loss that saw Jerusalem shoot only 2/27 from beyond the arc.

“The key was that we wanted to win and this was a big victory for us that I hope will continue,” the game MVP Michael Brisker said. “There needs to be a positive atmosphere in practice and in the locker-room in order for us to keep playing well and we all have to play our role properly. If we do that we will be fine.”
