“All week, practice has been intense,” Washington said following the game. “It was so competitive that coach had to calm us down. However, that’s how we want to be. We had to come out with great energy today to set the tone. That’s exactly what we did. So proud of our guys, but now it’s on to the next. We are back to 0-0 on the season. We have to keep getting better.”
