Hapoel Gilboa Galil defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 102-89 as Guy Kaplan’s team clinched a playoff spot with a strong second half as five players finished in double digits. Antonio Blakeney (23p) and Cody Demps (19p) helped the southern reds to a slim 50-48 lead by halftime but London Perrantes (22p), Ronnie Harrell (20p), Tyrus Battle (17p) and Derek Cooke (16p/13r) spurred Gilboa on to take the 13-point win.
Hapoel Eilat sunk Nes Ziona 93-80 as Lior Lubin’s team were knocked out of playoff contention with the defeat coupled with Hapoel Gilboa Galil’s win over Hapoel Beer Sheva. Ariel Beit Halachmi’s team dominated the game from the outset as Roie Huber and Toney Douglas paced the Red Sea City side to the win. Huber scored 16 points, Douglas added 15 points and Noam Avivi chipped in with 12 points in the win. Frank Bartley led the way for Nes Ziona with 27 points, Tomer Levinson added 16 points and Tim Soares scored 14 points in the loss.
