Hapoel Gilboa Galil punched their ticket to the Balkan League knockout game with a 77-72 win over a short handed Nahariya. The hosts from the Galilee were in control for the majority of the contest after jumping out to an early 22-10 lead after the first quarter as Netanel Artzi (14p), Yotam Hanochi (32p) and Iftach Ziv (11p) were able to cancel out Joe Alexander’s 32 point night.
Gilboa plays Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday night in Balkan League group stage action and will then face the winner of the Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion game that takes place next Sunday.
