Beitar Jerusalem 1-0 Maccabi Haifa

Beitar Jerusalem wins at home again on an Aviram Bruchian penalty kick on a controversial hand ball in the box by Sari Falach. Beitar dominated play throughout the match giving Haifa very few chances. Defensively Beitar has been playing terrific under the tutelage of head coach Roni Levy, but on the offensive side of the ball Beitar has been lucky to take points and get penalties called in the favor. Arik Benado and Maccabi Haifa have a lot of work in front of them and their inconsistent play has been frustrating for their supporters. Hapeol Tel Aviv will be disappointed with the result, not being able to take care of one of the weaker team’s in the league, but coming back from a 0-2 hole will be something that coach Ran Ben Shimon will gladly accept.

Hapoel Raanana 0-2 Kiryat Shemona

A crazy & wild match up in Akko as the home side came back from a 1-3 deficit in the second half to pick up the 3 points. Emir Hadzic opened the scoring for RHS off a beautiful play that began with Ben Ben Yair who slotted the ball to Yossi Shivchon and gave it over for Hadzic’s first of the night. After a handball right outside of the box by Ben Ben Yair, Ismaeel Rayan tied it up off a free kick to make it 1-1.
