Hapoel Tel Aviv tips off at Valencia for a win or go home game three in their EuroCup semifinal series on Wednesday (21:30) as both sides will looking to head to the finals where the winners will earn a place in the prestigious Euroleague competition. Valencia captured game one at La Fonteta while Hapoel took game two in a home game that was played in Samokov, Bulgaria due to the ongoing security situation in Israel.

The Reds will look to continue writing history for their franchise as they enter the deciding game of the series with Yam Madar most probably being available despite a knee injury. But Head Coach Dimitrios Itoudis is well aware that this contest will most probably come down to the small details and who can react during the course of the 40 minutes.

“We are here knowing it’s a tied series and it’s the final game. We know the difficulties that we are going to face. But we are determined and decisive to compete. Details are important for sure, the game from both sides have a slot of strategy as we added some things and they did as well. We also will add things during the game as will they as we will both make adjustments. I hope that it will be an attractive game for the fans.”

Forward Ish Wainright can’t wait for the game to get underway as he knows both teams will be laying it all out on the line, “We feel like we are extremely prepared but I am pretty sure they are going to come out swinging hard. We’re excited and our fans are excited as it’s a time that we can make history and it’s probably the biggest game of our season so far. Much respect to them and I know that will also be prepared but we are excited, ready for a war and it’s going to be a dog fight from the beginning.”

Pedro Martinez, Valencia’s head coach also spoke about how he sees the upcoming game 3, “We are not nervous as we approach the game. We know we earned the right to be here. It has been a long season, we went through all sorts of moments and earned the right to play Game 3 at home, the tie-breaker. We want to play the best game possible and play good basketball, with very good defense, rebounding really well and taking care of all small details taking place in the series, since it is our third game against them in a week. We have to adjust to what they propose because they will make their own adjustments.”

“For me, it is a 50-50 game. I ask Valencia Basket fans to help their team and give us the energy that we need to win a very important game against a great opponent with great players, a team that plays really good basketball. All of our energy has to be focused on that. We have physical issues but all of my players and everyone else thinks of this game as a final, so my players will give everything they have. We don’t want to make loud statements or complain. All 13 professional players are available and we will decide who to leave out.”
