Capitalizing on U20 Basketball Title, Champions Cup, U18s in Action

1) The Sports Rabbi looked at the future of Israeli Basketball after the Under-20 National Team won their first ever European Championship in the Friday’s Jerusalem Post. Check out what I had to say in Israel must capitalize on U20 Euro title with continued hoops growth!

2) Israel Football is Back! The Champions Cup between Hapoel Beer Sheva the 2017/18 League Champions and Hapoel Haifa the 2017/18 State Cup holders face each other on Saturday night at the Netanya Stadium, 21:00 Israel Time. In addition, Toto Cup action gets into full swing on Saturday as well when Maccabi Haifa host Maccabi Netanya and Bnei Sakhnin welcome Hapoel Hadera with both games starting at 19:00. Sunday night there are 3 more games, Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Beitar Jerusalem at 21:00, Hapoel Tel Aviv vs. Bnei Yehuda and Ashdod vs. Hapoel Raanana both at 19:45.

3) The Israel Under-18 National Basketball Team will get their European Division B Championship underway on Friday night and Saturday when they face the Netherlands and Luxembourg respectively in Macedonia. The U18’s will feature Deni Avdija who just came off a gold medal performance for the U20’s and Tomer Levinson who has been playing in Croatia over the past season.
