Beitar Jerusalem won their first Toto Cup Competition in ten years as defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 2:0 at the Netanya Stadium. After a goalless first half and with the game looking as if it would head to penalties, Anthony Varenne scored the winner in the 87th minute while new addition Uri Magbo found the back of the goal in injury time to take the title.

Maccabi Tel Aviv had been looking to three-peat but once again the Yellow & Blue’s attack was stagnant as Vladimir Ivic’s side had trouble carrying chances and threatening the Beitar goal. For Roni Levy’s Capital City side, super sub Varenne came through to bring the Trophy back to Jerusalem as the two squads face each other in league action on Saturday night white they will try to repeat the performance.
