Beitar Jerusalem defeated Maccabi Haifa 3-2 as Timoti Muzi scored the late winner to hand the yellow-and-black the 3-points and the win. Dead David who scored a brace and gave the greens the early lead in the 21st minute with his first of the game. Patrick Twumasi found the equalizer a quarter hour later by scoring on a beautiful team play to head into the break knotted up at 1-1. David scored his second of the game off a Muhammed Jaber ball in the 50th minute to retake the lead but twenty minutes later Jakob Jeno scored from outside the box to tie the game back up at 2-2. However it wasn’t tied up for long as Muzi headed home the winner off a Patric Twumasi corner kick.

“This was a great win,” Beitar Jerusalem Head Coach Barak Itzhaki began. “I am happy as to how we played. We showed character as we knew how to comeback not once but twice. While we were a bit confused near the end we steadied the ship and we took the win. We showed so much character against a team with tons of talent.”

“This happened to us in the first championship as well, two consecutive losses, but now it’s different,” Haifa coach Barak Bachar began. “Both games we started well, but in this one we also led twice. Unlike the last time when we lost and I left optimistic, this time there are things that need to be improved. We didn’t deserve to win, maybe not to lose either, but we made a lot of poor decisions and we didn’t control the pace of the game.”
