Maccabi Petach Tikva fell 1-0 to CFR Cluj in the first leg of Conference League third qualifying round on a 9th minute goal by Karlo Muhar in a game that took place in Sofia, Bulgaria due to the security situation in Israel. The second leg will be played in Romania next Thursday night as Petach Tikva will look to advance to the playoff round where they would meet the winner of the FC CSKA 1948 and Pafos FC matchup.
