Beer Sheva advances in Champions League qualifying, Maccabi & Beitar so the same Europa League

Sheriff Triaspol 0:0 Hapoel Beer Sheva (2:3)

Beer Sheva did exactly what they needed to when they visited Moldova which was to record a cleansheet to advance to the third round of Champions League qualifying where Olympiakos will be waiting for them.

Maccabi Tel Aviv 2:1 Kairat Almaty (3:2)

Captain Gal Alberman came to the rescue as the defensive midfielder launched an absolute missle behind the Kairat keeper in the 85th minute to help Maccabi continue in their quest to advance to the group stages of the Europa League. Tal Ben Chaim opened the scoring in the 5th minute but Gerard Gohou equalized in the second half before Alberman helped the Yellow & Blue to the third round of qualifying against Pandurii of Romania.

Omonia Nicosia 3:2 Beitar Jerusalem (3:3 Beitar advances on away goals)
Omer Atzili scored an away brace, leading Beitar to the third round of Europa League qualifying where they will now face Jelgava from Latvia. Israeli Abroad Amir Agaev scored for Nicosia while Cillian Sheridan and Onisiforos Roushias helped the home side to the match’s victory but not the two legged tie.

Kalju 1:1 Maccabi Haifa (2:2 agg, 5:3 Kalju on penalties)

The Greens made a shocking exit in the second round of Europa League qualifying falling on penalties to Estonian side Kalju. Nikita Rukavytsya scored a first half penalty Dor Haifa while Tarmo Neemelo drew his side even in the 90th minute which led to their eventual penalty kick win.
