Anat Lelior will be representing Israel in surfing at the upcoming Olympic games in the Women’s shortboard event. Lelior was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and at the age of 5 started surfing and has never stopped since. The 21-year old’s younger sister, Noa Lelior, is a surfer as well and are part of the Galim surfing club. Anat currently is serving in the Israeli Defense Forces and back in 2019 won the Deeply Pro Anglet which is a WSL qualifying series race. Lelior was able to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics thanks to the fact she finished as the highest ranked European surfer as well as being one of the top 30 ranked surfers in the overall open division at the 2019 ISA World Surfing Games in Miyazaki, Japan. Lelior has an excellent chance to surprise Israeli fans at the Tokyo Games.
