The Israel Under-18 Team fell to France 83-70 to fall to 1-1 in group stage play at the European Championships. The young blue-and-white got off to a hot start with Ofri Naveh leading the way early but little by little Les Bleus chipped away to take a 25-18 lead as they never looked back to take the win. Head Coach Sharon Avrahami’s team tips off against Sweden on Monday in the final group stage game before they head to the Round of 16 knockout matchups.
Naveh led the way with 14 points, Shachar Doron added 13 points and Alon Michaeli scored 12 points in the loss. Illan Pietrus scored 17 points while Maxim Logue, Tidjane Salaun and Noa Essengue all scored 11 points in the win.

I hear Naveh is only 18. He’s really good, as is Mayer.
#11 can ball. Dolinsky looks like a late bloomer.
Naveh has been terrific for a number of years and has turned heads. He’s also being recruited by US Universities.
