Hapoel Jerusalem gets past Beer Sheva, Ramat Gan downs Ata, Herzliya and Hapoel Tel Aviv both win

Hapoel Jerusalem eased past Hapoel Beer Sheva 103-87 as five players scored in double digits in the win while earlier in the day, the reds and Anthony Lamb parted ways. Cassius Winston scored 22 points, Jared Harper added 20 points and Austin Wiley scored 15 points in the victory while LJ Figueroa scored 20 points as Yoav Vitlem and Marquis Barnett each put in 17 points in the loss.

At the end of the game, the winning coach, Yonatan Alon, explained releasing Anthony Lamb before the matchup, “We understood that we had nine foreign players and we only needed five. From my perspective, I explained to Anthony which way the wind was going to blow until the end of the season, in a very positive atmosphere. I have only good things to say about Anthony, an amazing guy who always puts the team’s best interests first. He didn’t have such a successful season and it’s just his fault. I’m sure I also bear a large part of the responsibility. It’s my job to get the maximum out of my players and the responsibility is first and foremost on me, and I didn’t succeed with him. But we need to see what’s best for Hapoel Jerusalem and focus on our goals moving forward. We parted on very good terms and are moving on.”

Maccabi Ramat Gan defeated Kiryat Ata 90-83 on the road as Shmulik Brenner’s team broke away from Eldad Bentov’s squad in the final frame to record the much needed victory. Adam Ariel scored 22 points and Terrell Brown added 18 points in the win while Brendan Medley-Bacon scored 16 points in the loss.

Bnei Herzliya slipped by Hapoel HaEmek 96-94 as Zack Bryant closed out the victory and starred in the win. Bryant scored 28 points and Juston Edler-Davis added 18 points while Cameron Henry scored 20 points and Niv Misgav put in 18 points in the loss.

Hapoel Tel Aviv downed Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion 91-76 as a strong first quarter set the tone early as the Reds cruised to the victory. Yam Madar scored 20 points and Jonathan Motley added 17 points in the win while DJ Burns and Gabe DeVoe each scored 13 points in the loss.
