Maccabi Ramat Gan and Hapoel Jerusalem both win in Winner Cup play

Maccabi Ramat Gan defeated Maccabi Rishon LeZion 83-75 at Zisman Arena in Winner Cup play as both teams finished Group A with a 2–1 record. However, following Hapoel Jerusalem’s win over Hapoel Beer Sheva, Ramat Gan finished last in the group and was eliminated, while Rishon Le’Zion finished in third and will face Ironi Kiryat Ata in the play-in round.

Ronaldo Segu and Amit Alon scored 16 points each while Samaje Teel added 14 points a points in the win. Amin Stevens scored 23 points (10 rebounds) and Qua Grant added 14 points in the defeat.

Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 92-76 down south on Wednesday evening Winner Cup action. With the win, the capital city reds finished first in Group A with a perfect 3–0 record, advancing to a quarterfinal matchup against either Bnei Herzliya or Elitzur Netanya. Beer Sheva finished second in the group with a 2–1 record and will face Hapoel Tel Aviv in the quarterfinals.

Anthony Lamb scored 15 points, Cassius Winston added 14 points and Jared Harper scored 13 points in the win. CJ Elleby put in 20 points and Michael Foster Jr. scored 17 points in the loss.
