Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Holon 85-73 to sweep their semifinal series 2-0 and advance to the Israel Basketball League finals where they will play the winner of the Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem tilt. Mike Davis and Jaylen Hoard filled the basket early and often for each of their respective teams, Jimmy Clark along with Roman Sorkin scored for the yellow-and-blue as Shachar Amir and Dakarai Tucker countered for the purples but Tamir Blatt from deep gave Maccabi a 44-37 lead at halftime.

Davis kept pouring in points as Idan Zalmanson also scored in bunches, Sorkin in the paint, Blatt from deep and Rokas Jokubatis countered, Shachar Amir and Justin Alston tried to keep Holon close but Jimmy Clark was a one man wrecking crew and Levi Randolph scored to close out the victory.

Hoard scored 16 points, Sorkin added 15 points while Clark and Blatt each scored 14 points in the win. Davis scored 23 points as Alston and Amir each scored 12 points in the loss.
Mike Davis and Jaylen Hoard traded baskets at either end of the floor to get the game off and running, DJ Cooper found points and Davis continued to have the hot had, Trevion Williams dunked, Idan Zalmanson scored as Tamir Blatt and Davis went from deep, while Justin Alston and Roman Sorkin dunked at either end as the purples grabbed a 20-17 lead after ten minutes of play.

Jimmy Clark opened the second quarter from beyond the arc, Shachar Amir and Davis responded, Blatt drained one from deep, Hoard put down a monster dunk, Dakarai Tucker dialled up long distance, Rokas Jokubaitis and Sorkin scored, Iftach Ziv and Michale Kyser came back the other way for points, but another triple from Blatt and points from Sorkin gave Oded Katash’s team a 44-37 advantage at halftime.

Davis began the third quarter with a 4-point play, Blatt and Sorkin went from deep, Zalmanson scored from the inside and outside, Randolph nailed a corner 3-ball, Jokubatis and Davis traded triples, Alston and Sorkin each scored inside, Cooper went from deep while Amir scored at the buzzer to keep Guy Kaplan’s team hanging around but down 64-59 after thirty minutes of action.

Blatt went from deep and Hoard scored as well to get the fourth quarter underway, Tucker and Alston scored, Clark went coast-to-coast for a layup, put down a monster dunk and drilled home a 3-pointer, Amir scored a pair of baskets, Randolph hit a baseline midrange and then nailed a triple, while Williams out down a tomahawk dunk to seal the deal and hand Maccabi the win.
