Maccabi Tel Aviv BC headed to Istanbul to face Darüşşafaka on Euroleague Gameday 11 and will look to pick up their 3rd win of the season. Coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos looked ahead to the game, “We prepared the upcoming game. In the Euroleague there are no easy games. They had some games that they lost at the end. We need to focus and follow our plan. Toney Douglas just arrived there and we need to be focused defensively and offensively.”
The Greek boss also spoke about Jeremy Pargo‘s return to practice with the Yellow & Blue, “We are very happy Pargo is back. We want him to play and be healthy. When the doctors look at him we will be able to give a further update.”
Jake Cohen also spoke about his time with the Israel National Team, “This past week with the National Team gave me experience in high level competition and it will help me in the Euroleague. I’m ready. I’ve been doing a good job taking care of myself.” And also looked at the importance of Thursday’s Euroleague game, “I can’t remember a Euroleague game that wasn’t a must win.”
Captain John DiBartolomeo discussed the keys to games on the road, “I’ve only been here 2 days after the national team. We had very detailed practices. If we come with intensity we can win the game. On the road you need to make defensive stops.”
