The Maccabi fans have made a name for themselves around Europe and I can’t wait to hear them cheering for us.” Coach Never Spahija added, “He has an amazing basketball IQ and he is a great teammate. His natural position is a stretch four and we think that he will fit our system.”
2) Here’s an interesting read about Amit Aharoni who plays on Israel’s Under-16 team which will compete in the Division A European Championships. His father Oren Aharoni also played for Israel while his uncle Gur Shelef at one time captained the Blue & White.
3) The Duke of Cambridge, Price William is in Israel and played a little bit of soccer today at an event hosted by the Peres Center for Peace in Tel Aviv. It’s the first time a member of the Royal Family is making an official visit to Israel and it’s pretty cool that the Prince took time out of his trip to play soccer with some children.
