Terran Petteway<\/strong> joined Hapoel Eilat for the 2022\/23 season as the 29-year old swingman arrives to help Ariel Beit Halachmi\u2019s squad after Casey Prather went down with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

The Texas native attended Texas Tech as well as Nebraska where he averaged 18.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his final year in college back in 2014\/15. Petteway played in the G-League in his first pro season and has also plied his trade in Italy, France and Greece as he spent last campaign with Peristeri where he scored 11.6 points. <\/p>\n

To find out more about Petteway, The Sports Rabbi was in touch with a number of former teammates who shared their thoughts about what he brings to the table.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech Teammates:<\/strong>
\nBiggie Minnis:<\/strong> TP is a good guy. We only played one year in college together but we still talk til this day. The one year I played with him he showed he could really put the ball in the hoop. Also was very athletic and could lock down on defense. I want the fans to know Hapoel Eilat have a good one!<\/p>\n

Jordan Tolbert:<\/strong> I\u2019d say he was one the most passionate teammates I had played with one of the best shooters he plays with a chip on his shoulder.<\/p>\n

Nebraska Teammates:<\/strong>
\nDeverell Biggs:<\/strong> Terran Petteway is the hardest working teammate I ever had! In college, he was in the gym early morning, evenings after practice & at night. He was definitely someone that inspired me to play hard like him to match his level of play. Great friend off the court, great father\u2026 you guys going to love what he bring to your ball club.<\/p>\n

Jaime Smith:<\/strong> I enjoyed playing with Terran. He\u2019s one of the most talented offensive players that I\u2019ve played with. He can score at all levels (basket, mid-range and outside). He\u2019s a great weapon to have on any team.<\/p>\n

Pistoia Teammates:<\/strong>
\nNathan Boothe:<\/strong> I loved playing with him. He was a great teammate on an off the court. He got along with everyone. Very competitive, a high energy person. Extremely hard worker. Wants to win every time he steps on the court whether it\u2019s practice or games. <\/p>\n

Zabian Dowdell:<\/strong> Terran is a very talented player who wants to win more than anything. He\u2019s also a great teammate who takes pride in being the best in his role for the team.<\/p>\n

Chris Roberts:<\/strong> GREAT PLAYER , TOUGH AND ATHLETIC. ALWAYS PLAYS WITH A CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER AND SOMETIMES MISUNDERSTOOD. HE IS A GREAT FRIEND OF MINE AND I HAVE MUCH RESPECT FOR HIS GAME. TERRAN AND I ARE VERY SIMILAR TO HOW WE PREPARE FOR A GAME AND HOW WE RECOVER FROM A BAD GAME. HE IS A VERY HARD WORKER AND DEMANDS A LOT FROM HIMSELF EACH NIGHT. I HAVE SO MUCH GREAT THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIM. MOST IMPORTANTLY I\u2019M PROUD OF HIS DEVELOPMENT AS A PERSON AS WELL AS HIS PROFESSIONALISM.<\/p>\n

Nanterre Teammates:<\/strong>
\nJamar Wilson:<\/strong> I was fortunate enough to play with him, he’s really skilled, he’s one of the most skilled players I played with, super athletic, he can shoot, dribble and defend, he just played super hard so I’m super happy for him. Good guy off the court as well, I’m really, really happy for him. <\/p>\n

Jamal Shuler:<\/strong> TP that\u2019s my little brother!! Happy for him and I know he\u2019s going to do well in the Winner League! Terran is a competitor and a hard worker and has one of the best jump shots I\u2019ve ever seen in my life! I wish him all the best and a good and healthy season! <\/p>\n

Peristeri teammates:<\/strong>
\nDanny Agbelese:<\/strong> Great guy!!! Focused on winning. Can hit any shot very crafty humble and quiet shows up to work plays thru anything. Can see passes and make passes also can play defense <\/p>\n

Ian Miller:<\/strong> He\u2019s one of the best defenders and teammates I\u2019ve played with and a great character guy. A Hell of a competitor and will play at a higher level playing with coach this season in Eilat. <\/p>\n

Steven Gray:<\/strong> First he is a genuine guy and good father. He is a caring teammate with a competitive, hungry, mentality on the court. Super athletic, can score in a bunch of ways, plays super physical, and tough. He played through so many injuries over the years I was teammates with him and he has the ability to guard at an elite level. Tp is one of my favorite people. <\/p>\n

Sassari Teammate:<\/strong>
\nLeslee Smith:<\/strong> Love that guy man, he\u2019s a true competitor, wants to win, plays his heart out every time he steps on the floor. He\u2019s a hard worker plays with a chip on his shoulder.
