Josh Duncan scored 17 points for Hapoel while Rowland dropped 21 points to bring his Euro tally for the season so far to 138 points, the fourth highest scorer in the competition.<\/p>\n

The first quarter was very tight as the lead switched back and forth between the two sides. With only 40 seconds left Hapoel were up by two points but Galatasaray made a pair of free throws to tie the quarter up at 19. Galatasaray\u2019s Safak Edge and Vladimir Micov along with Hapoel\u2019s D\u2019or Fischer were the top scorers at the end of the first – all with six points.<\/p>\n

The visitors raced to a five point lead at the start of the second quarter but Hapoel fought back as Matt Janning nailed a 3-pointer to put his side ahead 34-32 with four minutes remaining. Hapoel were leading by four as the half was coming to a close but McCollum banged in two 3-pointers to tie the score up at 43. McCollum was the leading scorer with 13 at the break while Janning had 10pts for Hapoel.<\/p>\n

The third quarter started in a similar tight manner but the hosts moved into a strong lead with the scoreboard reading 62-54. But Galatasaray slowly cut the gap down, finishing the frame down by only four points.<\/p>\n

Galatasaray came out strong at the start of the fourth and immediately knotted up the score as Dorsey slammed home two baskets. But Hapoel responded by turning on the afterburners and put in seven unanswered points. Galatasaray started slowly niggling away at the Hapoel lead in a low-scoring final quarter. <\/p>\n

With just over two minutes left the score was 79-78 for the hosts. One minute later Duncan brought the score to 83-80 as the arena nearly exploded from the sound of over 8,000 fans trying to cheer Hapoel to victory. With half a minute of play remaining in the game Rowland netted a huge solo effort before he and McCollum exchanged free throws, with the visitor\u2019s man missing both and Rowland netting one to finish things at 86-82 for the Reds.<\/p>\n
