Scottie Wikbein is the only Maccabi player who finds himself on that list while James Nunnally is 14th overall in Euroleague play.<\/p>\n

When it comes to actually scoring those shots, Kazan still has all three within the top 12 but Wilbekin drops out of the list while Nunnally falls to 23rd overall. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cKazan have a lot of players who can cause you problems during the games, some from scoring some from defending and some both,\u201d Sfairopoulos said at the pre-game press conference. \u201cWe need to be smart and attack them the right way on offense and not let their scorers have a good game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maccabi will need a complete effort from everyone on their roster to get themselves back in the win column, a place that they are very well aware they need to get back into and into quickly. \u201cEveryone understands the situation,\u201d the newly engaged Maccabi captain John Dibartolomeo said. \u201cWe want to win every game and protect home court. They are right next to us on the standings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keenan Evans echoed his captain\u2019s sentiments about finding a way to record the victory, \u201cWe have to have a higher sense of urgency and take advantage of their weaknesses and expose them. We have to match their energy early.\u201d

\nHaving a higher sense of urgency is a necessity after falling in Israeli league play to Nes Ziona earlier in the week in what was a very weak performance which showed that Maccabi just didn\u2019t come into that game with the right mindset. <\/p>\n

However, Sfairopoulos added that his team did enter the continental clashes ready to go, \u201cWe have to come more ready for the Israeli league games. We were ready for the game against Real Madrid where we had a good game. In ALBA, we didn\u2019t play bad but we didn\u2019t play good defense. It wasn\u2019t like Olympiacos when we collapsed. We can have a game like that once a season. I don\u2019t believe that we have to put all the games in the same group. I don\u2019t remember a game at Rishon that we played so well. We have to change our mentality and how we play the Israeli league games.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are still building our team and our game and learning how to play difficult games and 5 games in 11 days. The players are trying and I have no complaints about them. It\u2019s logical that there are ups and downs during the season and it\u2019s not just us but other teams as well.\u201d

\nThis matchup will certainly be a test of the Yellow & Blue\u2019s fortitude as they need to desperately win the game in front of them while closing down Kazan and having gone through a rough month with many games abroad, Sfairopoulos is content to be back home and hopes to have a sold out arena for the latest test, \u201cWe flew five weeks in a row to play. This is the first week that we don\u2019t fly and have a home game.\u201d <\/p>\n

But ultimately in order to make sure that they get back to their winning ways, Maccabi must take a good hard look at themselves Evans said, \u201cWe had to look at ourselves and look at what we were doing wrong, what we can do better. We gave to get back to playing our basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n
