Haifa opened the scoring with Alon Turgeman but that was all everyone heard from Arik Benado’s squad with HBS scoring 3 unanswered goals. Maor Bozaglo supplied the goods for both Tomislav Pajovic who slipped in a header off a free kick and Glynor Plet who was fed a spectacular Bozaglo corner. Dovev Gabbay rounded out the scoring for HBS and left Haifa tryiong to figure out what has gone wrong all season for their club.

Beitar Jerusalem 0-1 Hapoel Ramat HaSharon

In one of its poorest efforts of the season, Beitar looked like a lost sheep in losing 1-0 to Ramat HaSharon at home in Teddy Stadium in front of over 7,000 fans. Kenny Seif was the goal scorer for RHS and grabbed the valuable 3 points to move above the red line on the Ligat Ha’Al table. Beitar had made a few moves prior to the game signing Moshiko Lugassi and Shlomi Azoulay on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv & Maccabi Haifa respectively and brought in Jonathan Vila from Celta Vigo to join his former teammate Andres Tunez on the back line. However, these changes were just not enough to give the home side a spark to victory. Coach Roni Levy was very unhappy with his team’s performance and let them know exactly how he felt after the match and prior to practice on Monday morning. Beitar gets Hapoel Tel Aviv on the road next week and will need a superb game in order to defeat red hot HTA.

Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 Ashdod

Maccabi Tel Aviv went back to their winning ways at Bloomfield Stadium coming away with a 2-0 victory. Ashdod, who have not played well on the road all year continued in that tradition giving up a 3rd minute own goal by Ya Ya Peti off an Eran Zahavi corner to put the visitors in an early hole. Zahavi finally scored a goal of his own with an 80th minute sliding one after his header was saved by the Ashdod keeper Ofir Marchiano. MTA will be happy with the 3 points and maintain first place.

Hapoel Raanana 1-4 Hapoel Tel Aviv

Hapoel Tel Aviv came out on fire with Besart Abdurahimi pacing the visitors with his speed and cleverness. The home side has a chance to even it up, but Asi Baldot’s penalty sailed ver the crossbar to keep the score at 1-0. Just three minutes later, Shimon Harush rifled a laser beam of a shot from the left side to take a 2-0 advantage in the half. The last 45 minutes re more of the same with Asi Baldot getting one back for Raanana and Vermut and Schecter on a penalty rounded out the scoring.

Maccabi Petach Tikva 2-2 Bnei Yehuda

Four goals in a half for these clubs? Nitzan Damari opened the scoring in the 16th minute but just two minutes later Aviv Hadad evened the score at one on an Oz Rali corner kick. Maccabi Petach Tikva grabbed the lead back in the 20th minute on Gidi Kanuk’s first goal of the season to make it 2-1, but lo and behold Amir Agaiev brought Yossi Abuksis’s squad back to tie the score and split the points.

Bnei Sakhnin 1-1 Kiryat Shemona

Bnei Sakhnin was hosting this match in Akko due to an IFA penalty but still over 2500 fans were in stands along with National Team manager Eli Gutman to watch the two clubs end deadlocked at one.
