Yes, we turned it around, but overall it wasn\u2019t a high-level performance. I\u2019m mainly focused on us and we weren\u2019t able to execute the style I want us to play. We have a lot to work on and improve. Of course, the league is still long. I know that around here, every game is either a scandal or a festival, but we\u2019ll stay focused on our path and our constant desire to improve.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Should Beitar have held on in the game against the reds they\u2019d be sitting pretty right now with 7 points out of a possible 9 with the two missing points really an acceptable result after going down a man. Not only did they blow a late lead. I felt it myself when I was a player at Beitar. I also saw what happened after the previous game against Hapoel Tel Aviv \u2013 that time the result was in our favor, and the vibe after we won was incredible. So I can understand that they\u2019re disappointed after we lost, especially in such a dramatic way, conceding two goals at the end after leading. That\u2019s tough. We need to be strong and look ahead. The fans will also need a few days to recover from this, but we still have a game on Saturday and like I said before, I hope in that game we\u2019ll get back on the winning track.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If Beitar Jerusalem is serious about playing their best and punching their ticket to the Championship Playoffs at the end of the regular season while finishing as high as they can on the table, then they can\u2019t have what occurred at Bloomfield Stadium to occur again for all intents and purposes.<br \/>\n<div id=\"attachment_155614\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-155614\" src=\"https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" class=\"size-full wp-image-155614\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762-610x407.jpeg 610w, https:\/\/sportsrabbi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_6762-1080x720.jpeg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-155614\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo credit: Yehuda Halickman<\/p><\/div><br \/>\nBeitar will now have a run of five games against teams who are definitely not the favorites to win the league or even advance to the playoff round, before they host Hapoel Beer Sheva in the first week of November. <\/p>\n<p>Itzhaki\u2019s crew can more than make up those lost points when they play the likes of Hapoel Haifa, Hapoel Petach Tikva, Ashdod and Bnei Reineh but they also have to pass a pretty tough test against Kiryat Shemona this Saturday night. Speaking of Barda, the K8 bench boss made sure to see Beitar before their clash this weekend and was at Bloomfield Stadium to watch his next opponent, live and in person as he witnessed what the 20K Hapoel fans saw as well as they 3K Beitar supporters. <\/p>\n<p>On one hand Barda knows that Beitar is coming into the game most probably frustrated and broken, but on the other hand if Itzhaki gets his ducks in order and can bring his team back into reality after a game that was more like the twilight zone, then they will be dangerous, very dangerous. That\u2019s very, very important for us and that\u2019s what we\u2019re focused on. It\u2019s less about who\u2019s the favorite because it\u2019s still early in the season and there\u2019s a lot we need to improve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saturday night\u2019s game will be a real test for Itzhaki and Beitar especially from a mental point of view. Can the players and coaching staff put the Hapoel Tel Aviv game behind them or did it leave them scarred to a point that the loss will continue to haunt them for some time.
