Kiryat Ata and Maccabi Rishon Le\u2019Zion welcomed a couple of new players to Israel on Wednesday as Malik Hall<\/strong> and Marcus Williams<\/strong> landed for their respective teams in the Holy Land.<\/p>\n

Malik Hall<\/strong>, who played in the G-League last season and prior to that attended Michigan State for 5 years will no doubt be a key contributor to Kiryat Ata especially having played under one of the greatest college head coaches in Tom Izzo.

\nAll in all, the forward looked refreshed and excited to be in Israel and spoke about what he cam contribute to the team, \u201cIt\u2019s been a long day but I\u2019m excited to be here for sure. I bring versatility and being able to do a lot of different things will allow me to just help out the team any way that it needs. That\u2019s what I\u2019ll bring to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

After his time in Michigan State, Hall played in the G-League which gave him his a chance to get his feet wet as a professional before embarking on a career overseas with his first stop in Israel.

\n\u201dI think it will help me a little bit just understanding how to be a pro. Obviously it\u2019s a different type of basketball and different types of but just translation of how to be a pro, doing things the right way will help me along the way. I feel like I can play with anyone in the world I can compete with anyone and coach tight me how to work hard and play hard so I take that everywhere with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aa for his new head coach Eldad BenTov, Hall was able to hear from the bench boss about his expectations and what it\u2019s like to play in the Israeli league, \u201cHe told me a little bit about how they like to play and how he wants to play as well as what he sees me doing. We talked a couple of times back and forth so I\u2019m excited to see what he does for us.\u201d

\nRishon Le\u2019Zion point guard Marcus Williams<\/strong> also arrived as the rookie from San Francisco played in the NBA Summer League last month as he readies for a professional career beginning overseas.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels great,\u201d Williams began. \u201cI\u2019m ready for this experience and I heard a lot of great things about this place. I\u2019m just excited to learn and experience all of these things.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what he brings to the table, Williams was straight and to the point, \u201cJust be a great teammate first and foremost and second of all just be an unselfish player, a true point guard and try to impact winning at all times.\u201d

\nWilliams also spoke about what he had heard about Rishon Le\u2019Zion, \u201cI just heard it\u2019s a great club, a winning club most importantly and that\u2019s what I\u2019m excited about. Israel is a great place, similar to America, so I\u2019m excited to learn about it.”<\/p>\n

The 23-year old floor general discussed what he is looking forward to doing at his new home, \u201cI think I\u2019ll be able to put on a show, give them something to look forward to.
