This week on the Pulpit Podcast, I had the honor & privilege to speak with Rabbi Yehoshua Ellis who is the Chief Rabbi of Katowice, Poland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Poland you ask? Yes! Rabbi Ellis and his wife Raissa are in Katowice to help with the Jews of the area, the youth and the “Hidden Jews”!<\/p>\n

Not only is Rabbi Ellis a Rabbi, he is a Shochet<\/a>, a ritual slaughterer as well for the town and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

Just a mere 40 minute drive away from the city of Oswiecim<\/a>, the city on which the Auschwitz\/Birkenau Death Camp<\/a> lies, Katowice was once home to 10,000 Jews. <\/p>\n
