The reigning Israeli League champions, Elitzur Ramla, is returning to the EuroCup Women\u2019s competition for the 2024-25 rendition after withdrawing last season due to Swords of Iron War, which began with Hamas\u2019s inhumane attack which consisted of massacres, abductions and rockets fired at Israel.<\/p>\n
The competition will feature 12 groups with four teams in each group, for a total of 48 teams. The draw, which took place in Munich last month, put Ramla together in Group H together with Poland\u2019s VBW Gdynia, Lithuania\u2019s Kibirkstis Vilnius and Germany\u2019s ALBA Berlin. With it being uncertain when European play will return to Israel, Ramla will play each of their home fixtures on their opponent\u2019s court.

The European campaign will kick off with a \u201chome\u201d game against Kibirkstis in Lithuania on October 7, the first anniversary of Hamas\u2019s Simchat Torah attack in which the terrorist organization led an attack in which they murdered 1,400 people and took 250 people hostage \u2013 115 of whom are still being held in Gaza. With the effect that the war continues to have on the country, the game itself will be a significant event on Israeli basketball\u2019s calendar for the 2024-25 season.
