1)<\/strong> There was plenty of NBA Summer League<\/strong> games over the weekend as Israelis and players who play for Israeli teams were in action. Here is a rundown:<\/p>\n

Friday Games<\/strong>
\nShawn Dawson<\/strong> playing for the Nets scored 20 points in 18 minutes.
\nTJ Leaf<\/strong> went only 2\/14 for 4 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Pacers.
\nEgor Koulechov<\/strong> recorded a DNP for the Orlando Magic.
\nBogdan Bliznyuk<\/strong> of Bnei Herzliya also was a DNP for the LA Clippers.
\nJonah Bolden<\/strong> of Maccabi Tel Aviv scored 6 points and grabbed 6 boards.<\/p>\n

Saturday Games<\/strong>
\nKendrick Ray<\/strong> of Maccabi Tel Aviv was scoreless in 14 minutes for the Jazz.
\nTJ Leaf<\/strong> scored 17 points in 30 minutes of action for the Pacers.
\nShawn Dawson<\/strong> dropped 3 points in 17 minutes for the Nets.
\nJonah Bolden<\/strong> scored 5 points for the 76ers.

\n2)<\/strong> Atl\u00e9tico Madrid reached agreement to open academy in Beer Sheva.<\/strong> Alona Barkat, Hapoel Beer Sheva’s president, Idan Ofer, majority shareholder of Quantum Pacific Group and shareholder of Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid, and Miguel \u00c1ngel Gil, CEO of Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid, accompanied by Emilio Guti\u00e9rrez, director of Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid\u2019s academy, announced an agreement between the Madrid based club’s academy and Hapoel Beer Sheva. The move will reinforce the Israeli club\u2019s youth system, which will allow Hapoel Beer Sheva to increase the amount of youth players in the first team.<\/p>\n

The hope is that the long-term project will allow the members from the Madrid academy to implement the Atl\u00e9tico way in Beer Sheva and will also allow for an interchange between cultures through football and sharing values with Hapoel Beer Sheva, such as hard work, teamwork and never giving up.<\/p>\n

\u201cAtl\u00e9tico de Madrid is one of the best teams in the world. For many years, they\u2019ve been raising academy players in a great way,\u201d Barkat said. \u201cI\u2019m positive this alliance with [Atl\u00e9tico\u2019s] academy will help us keep growing.\u201d Ofer is also happy and proud of the agreement. \u201c[I\u2019m proud] to have taken a part In putting the two clubs in contact with each other,\u201d he said. \u201cThis will be a successful project.\u201d<\/p>\n

CEO Miguel \u00c1ngel Gil, spoke about the importance of transmitting Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid\u2019s values. \u201cThe main objective is that this academy is open to people of all religions and cultures,\u201d he said. \u201cWe want to integrate everyone through a common project, based on the values of sport.\u201d<\/p>\n
