Bnei Herzliya continued to win as they downed Kiryat Ata 76-62<\/strong> to pick up their fourth win in a row. Sandy Cohen had the hot hand early on while Adrian Banks also scored key baskets as the hosts used a well balanced attack to take the victory.<\/p>\n

Cohen and Banks each scored 17 points while Marcus Carr added 10 points and Reggie Lynch pulled down 14 rebounds in the win. James Batemon screed 16 points and Amin Stevens scored 12 points in the loss.

\nThe game\u2019s MVP Sandy Cohen spoke about the win, \u201cJust staying the course and controlling what I can control. I have been working on my game a lot and I think that it showed. I think we have had a lot of moving pieces, guys leaving the team and coming in and we have now found our chemistry now playing as a team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t good on offense and we couldn\u2019t hit our shots,\u201d Kiryat Ata coach Sharon Avrahami said. \u201cOn a day like this if we aren\u2019t scoring it\u2019s going to be tough. We were there on the defensive end but we just weren\u2019t good enough on the attack plus we left many points on the free throw line, but it\u2019s part of the game and now we continue on.\u201d

\nJames Batemon drove to the basket for a trio of hoops while Amin Stevens also got busy for Kiryat Ata to give the visitors an early 13-7 lead midway through the first quarter. Adrian Banks answered for Bnei Herzliya and Batemon went from deep, Stevens and Raz Adam put in points, Frederic Bourdillon nailed a pair of triples as Reggie Lynch scored as well but Kiryat Ata stayed in front 24-23 after ten minutes of play.<\/p>\n

Ethan Burg opened the second quarter with a deuce, Tomer Porath came back with a triple, Reggie Lynch put in a 3-point play while Akia Pruitt went from deep to keep Sharon Avrahami\u2019s squad ahead 31-28 with 5:44 left in the first half. Sandy Cohen went from long distance and then scored a 3-point play, Banks dialed up distance, Batemon and Porath scored but Cohen with the hot hand went from beyond the arc at the buzzer to give Dan Shamir\u2019s team a 43-39 advantage at halftime.

\nBanks knocked down a pair of triples to get the third quarter underway, Cohen continued to hit his shots, Batemon went in for a layup, Banks went from deep as Adam answered and Ben Saraf put in a 3-point play for an 8-0 run but Herzliya stayed in front 59-53 after thirty minutes of action. Lynch began the fourth quarter with points, Marcus Carr scored a 3-point play, Batemon came back from downtown, Thomas and Burg matched him as Herzliya closed out the victory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
