The Sports Rabbi had the honor and pleasure to welcome Howard Beck, Senior Writer at Sports Illustrated and Co-host of The Crossover Pod to the 300th episode of The Sports Rabbi Show. Beck is one of the great writers and podcasters of our generation and has made an impact with his fine coverage of the NBA both on and off of the court. Having worked at the New York Times, Bleacher Report and the LA Daily News, Beck has been very active with social action issues as we opened the show discussing the tragedy that unfolded in Uvalde, Texas and the brutal school shooting.

We then move to the beginning of Beck’s career and how he was inspired to become a journalist while we also disusss Israeli NBA players past and present in Omri Casspi and Deni Avdija. To finish off the show we talked about some of the pressing issues in the NBA.
