The Sports Rabbi spoke to Alex Tyus in an exclusive interview about his coming back to Israel with Galatasaray, playing in Turkey and the possibility of one day returning to the Holy Land:
“It feels great. A lot of memories here, old faces and friends. People that really mean a lot to me and I still think about. I’m really happy to come back and play against Maccabi and hoping for a win. Outside of that it feels great to be back.”
Living in Istanbul:
“There are some similarities but different at the same time. This is my second year in Istanbul so I’ve gotten used to it and I feel more comfortable. It’s been a good two years away from Israel.
Coming back to Israel in the future:
“I would love to. I never really wanted to leave personally, but sometimes that’s the business of basketball. My door is always open to come back and I’d love to.”
