Jerusalem Head Coach Oded Katash spoke about the contest and pointed out the threat that Anwil can pose to his squad, “They are a very dangerous team and while I won’t say they are the best team in the champions league they four scorers that play at a very high level. Similar to AEK on the offensive side of the ball, perhaps not defensively but we will have to stop their running game.”

How will Hapoel stop an offensive minded team, “We will play team defense to stop players like Tony Wroten who is a tall guard, he has a lot of quality but it’s not just him but also Ricky Ledo, Chase Simon and Chris Dowe who is a streaky scorer and is shooting at a high percentage. Usually a team has two scorers as this level, Anwil has four and they play a good possession game, perhaps not with a lot of ball movement.”

I also asked Katash about his feelings that Jerusalem is the #1 Champions League team in the Power Rankings, “I don’t know. These are things I don’t look at and I focus on basketball itself and the result that comes from our work.”

James Feldeine also looked ahead to Wednesday’s game in the video below as we discussed the #1 ranking, Isaiah Cousins and more:
