In a Matchday 12 encounter, Maccabi Tel Aviv won their first of two games over the weekend, by beating Ironi Nahariya 99-93. Andrew Goudelock scored 22 points, while Gal Mekel had a strong 15 for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Gilbert Brown and Yancy Gates had 19 points each for the losing Nahariya.


Maccabi Tel Aviv 91-92 Hapoel Gilboa/Galil
Gilboa/Galil escaped Tel Aviv with a 92-91 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv. Jason Siggers hit a buzzer beater to steal the victory for Gilboa. Murphy Holloway finished with 26 points, while Siggers scored 19 points for Gilboa. Andrew Goudolock was Maccabi’s top scorer again with 21 points, while Guy Pnini scored 16 in the losing effort.

Hapoel Eilat won comfortably 91-82 at Hapoel Jerusalem. Rafi Menco scored 21 points against his parent club, while Reginald Buckner had 16 points for Eilat. Curtis Jerrells scored 26 points, while Travis Peterson dropped 13 points for Jerusalem.

Rafi Menco commented very professionally after the game: “Wherever I go, I think about doing the best for my current team, it doesn’t matter who I play.”
