Hapoel Jerusalem battled and ultimately beat Lietuvos Rytas, 80-76, in what was a close encounter. Having fallen behind, Jerusalem came back to take the valuable away victory. Curtis Jerrells had 26 points, while Jerome Dyson added 15 of his own for Jerusalem. Youngster Shawn Jones chipped in with 10 points in 16 minutes of play. David Logan scored 19 points, while Rokas Giedraitis scored 12 for Rytas. After the game, Coach Simon Pianigiani commented: “It’s an important victory, especially because we started tonight a little bit soft. I am proud, because my players defended and didn’t give up… Mentally we recovered 2-3 times.” Curtis Jerrells added “We played a good second half, first half we played badly and need to figure out how to start better, but overall played a good 20 minutes and got the win.”
Rishon Lezion comfortably beat Reyer Venezia 79-61, at home. Javon McCrea lead the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Avi Ben Chimol finished with 20 points for Rishon. Tomas Ress scored 14 points for Reyer.
Kormend beat Bnei Herzliya in Israel, in blowout fashion. Csaba Ferencz scored 26 points for Kormend, who dominated the majority of the game after an eight-point deficit in the first quarter. Jeff Adrien scored 14 points, while Taureen Green finished with 10 points for Herzliya.
Monaco escaped Israel with a victory over Ironi Nahariya. Monaco had 56 points from the bench, which proved to be the difference maker. John Bryant scored 14 points and 11 rebounds, leading the way for Monaco. Yancy Gates scored 19 points in 20 minutes, while Nick Faust scored 12 points for Nahariya.
