Maccabi Petach Tikva 1:1 Maccabi Haifa

Maccabi Haifa and coach Roni Levy played Houdidni and escaped the Moshava Stadium with a 1:1 draw after having two players sent off with Red Cards. The home side took a 1:0 lead on Guy Melamed’s 41st minute goal from Idan Shemesh’s deadly pass on the fast break putting the ball past The Greens ‘keeper Vladimir Stoykovich. Haifa would lose Ofir Kriaf in the 48th minute as the midfielder picked up his second yellow card of the match while they would go down yet another man in Marc Valiente in the 55th minute as he received a straight red card for pulling Shemesh down deep in Haifa territory. However, luck would shine on the visitors as Eliran Atar would coolly slot home a 91st minute penalty kick to earn the his a point under difficult circumstances.

Bnei Yehuda 2:1 Hapoel Kfar Saba

Bnei Yehuda was able to hold on to a one-goal lead after losing ‘keeper Dele Aiyenugba to a red card in the first half. Jude Nworuh opened the scoring for the home side while an Ohad Cohen own goal shortly thereafter doubled the score. Aiyenugba’s red card resulted in a Kfar Saba penalty that was slotted home by Hugo Lopez to cut the lead to one but that was all she wrote for the visitors as they fell 2:1 at Bloomfield Stadium.

Maccabi Netanya 0:2 Hapoel Beer Sheva

The visiting Beer Sheva side went into Netanya with over 2,000 travelling fans and won 2:0 on a race by Eliyaniv Barda. The win bumped Beer Sheva back into first place and dropped Maccabi Tel Aviv down to second on goal differential.

Hapoel Haifa 2:0 Bnei Sakhnin

Haifa got on the winning track with a solid 2:0 win over overmatched Bnei Sakhnin at Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa. Tomer Suissa’s 21st minute goal would prove to be the winner with Tadas Kijanskas adding an insurance marker in the 54th minute to seal the victory. Weak Amasha had a 51st minute penalty chance but his weak effort was saved by ‘keeper Kovar Premsyl.

Kiryat Shemona 0:0 Hapoel Akko

A scoreless draw was in tap in Israel’s Northern capital as neither side could find the back of the goal in a listless match.
